Lena L. Downen, 83, formerly of Aurora, IL entered the portals of glory on February 13th, 2022. She was born November 7th, 1938 to Charles and Lucy Smith in Mount Vernon, IL. 

Lena was preceded in death by her husband Frankie Downen, her parents, 5 brothers and 4 sisters. 

She is survived by her sister Karel Miller;

2 daughters Marilyn Carter and Brenda (Dave) Gill;

5 grand children: Joseph (Gina) Dunmyer, Rachel Dunmyer, Matthew (Christine) Savage, Stephanie (Mike) Townsend, and Jacqueline (Emmett) Smith;

Eleven great-grand children: Ashley, Brittney, Trevor, Tyler, Sommer, Paige, Aleksandra, Teagan, Emma, ES, and Lexi;

Four great-great-grand children: Hayden, Macey, Colton, and Gracie.     

Visitation 2p-6p on Friday February 18th and Memorial Services 3p on Saturday February 19th at Faith Assembly Church, 105 S Main St., Montgomery, IL  60538 with Rev Emmanuel Rojas as Master of Ceremony and Rev Michael Hefner Officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made out to Marilyn Carter and sent to Faith Assembly Church to help with final expenses.
